The design honours those who have helped pave the way for First Nations people in sport today. Inspired by designs used for generations on shields, tools, and cloaks, the diamond linework also celebrates the rich carving traditions of Southeastern First Nations cultures.

Cross Hatching:
The cross-hatching represents teamwork and looking after one another. It reflects the importance of working together, supporting your teammates, and caring for those around you.

Swirly Lines:
The flowing lines represent the smoke from welcoming fires. Traditionally, smoke is used to clear negative energy or spirits when entering someone’s traditional Country. The design symbolises positive energy, connection, welcome, and the creation of safe spaces.
